Newsletter signups

When you submit the newsletter form, your email address, the consent you give and the time of submission are sent directly to HubSpot so Bad Business Advice can manage your request to receive the Bad Business Briefing. The request may also include the title and address of the page where you signed up. Query parameters and local file paths are not included.

The checkbox is required and is not selected for you. Checking it confirms that you want the newsletter. The form also explains that your email address and consent will be stored and processed through HubSpot to manage your subscription. If HubSpot rejects the request, the form shows an error and retains your entered email so you can try again.

How HubSpot is used

HubSpot provides the form submission and contact management service. This integration sends requests to HubSpot’s EU-region endpoint. HubSpot may receive technical information, such as your network address, when your browser connects to its service. Using an EU endpoint does not itself mean that all processing is limited to the EU.

HubSpot’s handling of personal information is described in its Privacy Policy. This website does not request a password or payment details for a newsletter signup.

Your choice

You can withdraw your newsletter consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in a newsletter email. Unsubscribing stops newsletter messages; it does not necessarily delete all contact or consent records held in HubSpot.

Cookies and analytics

This site does not load HubSpot’s embedded form, analytics code or advertising pixels. The custom newsletter form does not read or send tracking cookies and does not store your email in cookies or local storage. No separate analytics or advertising tracking has been added to this version.

HubSpot and any service hosting the website may process technical connection information when you use their services. That is distinct from adding analytics or advertising trackers to this website.
